The Big Move

Well, as you may know, the menagerie has undergone drastic changes in the recent relocation process. It has been a challenge to make a home for themselves out in Pittsfield. The remodeling of their studio space has taken far longer than anyone could have anticipated. Despite this challenge the Menagerians continue to thrive and have even welcomed some new members to their ranks including a native Japanese - Californian intricately carved owl and an interesting little character who sleeps all day and demands use of my glasses at night. He has assured me that my spectacles are, in fact, MORE safe with him and I have found that to be true so far. I'll admit that I took some convincing, but I have never trusted anyone more with my eyes. I should mention that he is also an owl (of course).
Oh! I should also mention the insane holiday party they had. Absolutely everyone came out, completely overtook our new digs in the Pitts (including the four human Menagerians) for tequila, video games, car chases, and (eventually) slumber.
All in all, I would say the Menagerians are adjusting beautifully to their new home. Though they do miss being the hustle and bustle of gaytown.

New Arrival!

Straight (pun intended) from the bedroom of E. Suls' youth, comes Dr. Frank-N-Furter - A Scientist!! Transported by messenger bag to local eatery Sister's Deli in Hatfield, MA, Dr. Frank-N-Furter found his way (under the watchful eyes of RC and AR) to Clee's purse for the final (fishnet adorned) leg of his trip to join the Menagerians anxiously awaiting their first annual summit. As usual, the Menagerians welcomed himer warmly and immediately made room for the esteemed scientest near the newly constructed park bench.

One Menagerian told this journalist, "we had no idea what to expect when we heard there was a scientist coming, in fact Fowly (aka Fowl Owl) seemed nervous that this new member might infringe on his role as creator of delightful monsters. Once s/he arrived, we knew s/he'd fit right in. We've been choreographing a big dance number for the Summit's closing reception and the good doctor has agreed to do everyone's make-up."

A new home (and new responsibilities)

Now that a select group of Menagerie members have made a home here in Northampton Proper, they find themselves not only with new surroundings, but also new responsibilities. Far from the hustle and bustle of Cubeland, Menagerians like Rosa (pictured below with Fowly, Pickles and Moof) find their days are chock full of loud noises (courtesy of Moof), daytime television (at night, courtesy of Soap Net), and a lot of Casey (courtesy of the universe and Smith College).

Overall, the traveling Menagerians seem to like their new surroundings and find the familiar plantlife (and company) comforting. There has been some conflict over the incident. More on that later...

The Contract

The saga continues...
